Metallica

James Hetfield (vocals / guitar), Antwerp 03/05/2009

is an October 28, 1981 Lars Ulrich (drummer) decided to start a band called Thrash Metal with a friend James Hetfield (guitar, vocals). Being in search of other members, they eventually recruit guitarist David Mustaine (Megadeth's current singer) and bassist Ron McGovney. At their first concert, opening for Metallica Hit The Lights "and" Jump In The Fire "and chained with covers.

Kirk Hammett (guitar solo), Antwerp 05/03/2009
Their first EP was formed by Hit The Lights, Jump In The Fire, Motorbreath and Seek and Destroy (now the undisputed reminder Concert Metallica). Then there were many tensions that were causing the departure of bassist and the temporary exclusion of Dave Mustaine. That's when Cliff Burton joined the band on bass and Mustaine is also included.

In 1983, Mustaine was definitely ruled out of the group in favor of Kirk Hammett, guitarist talent at the call from the manager thought that the hearing to which he was involved was a joke! (Trivia).
On May 10, 1983, Metallica decided to record his first album "Kill 'Em All" a majority of whose shares will resume the first EP. Metallica The rocket is then launched in 1984 and then released "Ride The Lightning" on which there is the instrumental "The Call of Ktulu" the melodious "Fade To Black" and more trash Songs such as "From Whom The Bells Tolls" and "Creeping Death".

But Since 1986, this is where Metallica has suddenly forward in his career with the release of the best metal album of all time: Master Of Puppets ". For me, this album is the one who showed the audience a final determination on what would turn Metallica horizon, at the concert in Antwerp, 5 March 2009, it was enough to hear the first chord of the song Master of Puppets to feel the first chills of what would be the greatest concert of my life. On 27 September 1986, the group because of skidding on a patch of ice, all members are thrown from their bunks, but unfortunately for Burton, he is thrown out the window and ends up crushed by the bus. He was 24 years and remains in the hearts of fans.

In 1988 the band released their album "... And Justice For All", which is considered worse than previous ones, but personally it is just as good for me. This album is often taken as a reference when talking about the song called One in which the last 3 minutes sounds like a tribute to pure Heavy, unleashed a drummer, a singer who screams and frantic guitar solo. Their tour was triumphant in the absence of Burton, Newsted replaced.

After 3 years of touring, Metallica returned to the studio for what would be their most personal album, "Metallica" also called "The Black Album." Titles and for me to remember: Enter Sandman, The Unforgiven, Sad But True and Nothing Else Matters.

In 1993, they released Load and Reload in 1997 his twin to be very criticized by fans of the first hour especially ... the hairstyle of musicians.

In 1999, Metallica has an idea, which previously would have been unthinkable for a metal band, recorded live with an orchestra, in this case that of San Francisco. It will be called S & M (Symphony and Metallica), I think it is advisable to listen and also watch it because it gives off such a symbiosis between the two teams it is impossible to win before the end.

In 2003, Robert Trujillo who is formally admitted to the group assigned to be the bass player just after the session recording the album St. Anger. In 2008, Metallica fans who were waiting long have taken a slap in the face after being heavily criticized the previous album. Kirk decided to at least one solo song on the album "Death Magnetic" which is one of the best Metallica albums to date.
