Eight million released by the Region the roads of the BW.

The Walloon Minister of Local Furlan Paul has allocated $ 100 million for a major renovation of local roads in the Walloon Region. And 7.8 million will be distributed among the 27 municipalities of the young Province. Maybe not enough to rehabilitate 4,200 km (3,600 km of communal roads) road network that includes the province. The larger towns will receive a large share of the cake but smaller will not be forgotten. The amount allocated to each municipality is for a period of three years and is distributed according to three criteria: the mileage of local roads (50%) and the number of inhabitants per municipality (50%). These two criteria are weighted by average income per capita. Each municipality will have the choice of works to be carried on local roads in its territory. Paul Furlan hopes his counterpart ministry Public Works, Benoit Lutgen, take similar measures for regional roads that pass through the Commons.
